Yes, it is stored on the BIOS chip as well as other information. Usually this would happen when not using the inbuilt flashing tools such as using amiflash. It should be fixable but since I've never had to fix it I can not tell you how, maybe you could try asking CodeRush.

      its using f4d right now
      G1.Guerrilla is G1.Guerrilla.....not X58A or X58 and is only Rev.1.0.
      Here is spec:

Hello people, a question about the new intel RST drivers..

I flash my x79 ud3 whit the stasio bios mod2 f14 right.. And the bios have the 12.7.0.1936 RST rom. BUT, i see many people have problem whit this driver and intel release the RST 12.7.1.1000 and this version perform very well..!

My question is, can i install the 12.7.1.1000 whit the f14 mod 2 bios..?

              Thank!

PS. for now i have the rst 12.5.x.xxx (latest release on intel website)

                            Hey all,

Wondering if I could get some help with my post from a couple days back?

                            Thanks!

TLDR: Me and my friends Z77-UD5H v1.1 can't boot off of flash/thumb driver with the ssd plugged in. No matter how the boot sequence is configured in the bios, it ignores bootable thumbs. Even pressing f12 at boot and selecting the thumb wont boot it. Thoughts?

Really? So crazy man. I've tried everything to make it boot 1st in the bios, and also multiple usb stick builds like avast rescue, m4 firmware update and so on. Same happens on two different systems with the same board.

Did you have your hd/ssd plugged in when you tried it?

Thanks much for your help fred!
