So PCIe Gen 3 it is may not cleaned well with F19j MB BIOS.

I found that my PC sometime halt - mouse cursor stop, image on monitor freeze, sometime then go black and monitor go suspend - and does not matter what I do, in idle it is observed too.
Then new BOOT of my PC have VGA detection problem.
First BOOT often (always?) not detect VGA (I press F12 to not BOOT to OS).
I checked it by secondary monitor connected to integrated VGA out.
Second BOOT after RESET button is always (often?) successfull and VGA show picture on monitor (F12 pressed), then I continue to BOOT to OS.

So is not problem to boot to OS after VGA detection failed and haven't any picture (and VGA) from OS, only Standard Radeon VGA showed in devices (checked by Remote Desktop), but no image out.

With F17 MB BIOS I haven't this problem.

Is someone interested to deep research or can fix it somehow?
Can it be by VGA and PCIe Gen 3 or by CPU instability or RAM instability?
May I try to set PCIe Gen 2/1 in BIOS.

      Config:
HW - see my PC Specs
      no VGA overclock
      light CPU overclock
      SW - GPU-Z running
      SpeedFan running

        Freezing (hopefully) solved!
Caused by combination of Intel RST driver version 12.7.0.1036 WHQL and SpeedFan version 4.49.

If your using SSD's in RAID0 there is a 11.6 OROM posted earlier with possibly generic trim support for older chipsets. If not then it's not much use really ;)

Maybe off topic, but could somebody give me a heads-up? I am looking for info on which module name or GUID represents which kind of option ROM. Since I am using a X79-UD5 board, I am looking for the RSTe RAID option ROM, iRST RAID ROM, and Marvell 88EE9172 Option ROM locations in the BIOS for MMTool.

Thanks in advance... ( I am also reading personal messages ;) )

I think that F12 is not ready, because it was removed from downloads section of our motherboard, but is still present on first page in this topic.

                    Hi,
Same here with the latest mod of the 19j. I may add that the bios was resetting itself almost on every boot and even if the igfx was set to "enable" (not "auto") well its wasn't enable at all. I am wondering if it is not the cpu microcode 19 alone or combine with the irst(e) 12.7 (efi, orom and driver).

I reverted back to the mod with microcode 17 and efi/orom 12.6 and everything is fine now (well except for the infamous "usb keyboard not able to go into bios" bug). I will try to mod this one with the microcode 19 then if it is fine I will try the 12.7 efi/orom alone ...then both. I will keep you posted

Looks like there is a new bios F14 on the page, except you can't download it from any of the links.

                          Hello everyone -

I am using my GA-EP45-UD3R v1.1 as a media storage server. It's working great, but it won't accept 3TB drives. I've searched around a bit, but don't see a bios mod for my setup. I found ones for Rev 1.0 and Rev 2.0 but nothing for my board (Rev 1.1). The only recent feature I'm looking for is 3tb+ drive support. Would anyone be so kind as to create a modified bios for me? I'm very new to modified bios, so please let me know if I need to provide anything.

                          Thanks

GA-EP45-UD3R Rev 1.0 and Rev 1.1 use the Same BIOS:
                            GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 775 - GA-EP45-UD3R (rev. 1.1)

And as far as I know there is No Rev 2.0 of this MB.
I am in NO way affiliated with Gigabyte.
