Marvell SATA3 ROM 1.0.0.0027 is in every "non-mod" GB Z77 BIOS.
As Mabs says....."latest is maybe not the greatest".

I found the post about problems with the latest version here. Post #798 from user skypy

      3. Marvell SATA3 ROM 1.0.0.0027 (With the latest orom, 1.0.1.0025, when you switch to RAID you get errors and can't get past to boot in to windows. I have the board with purple caps and no space between ram slots. Tested with 15m bios)
Maybe the problem was with the BIOS, not specifically with the Marvell SATA3 ROM component... I don't use RAID, so I never tested myself.
      Can someone confirm this problems?

If that's correct, shouldn't your modded UD5H version F15r bios have included the older version Marvell ROM, instead of the untested & unproven newer version?
Or at least: offer both versions of modded bioses for trial?
Note: I'm not personally using the Marvell SATA port at all, so I wouldn't be able to provide feedback on which ROM version is better.

It's tested on other forums and so far no major complain.

              Hi NoJuan999,

the dokumention in ur bios-mod must be wrong/incorrect or u have seleceted a wrong Marvel ROM from an older Controller like Marvell_9128/9123_1.0.0.1025

              ""
              Manufacturer: Giagbyte
              Model: GA-X58A-OC (Rev. 1.0)
              Bios Type: Award
              Bios Revision: F5E

              Oroms Updated to:
              Intel Raid 12.0.0.1783
              RealTek PXE 2.52
              Marvell 9182 RAID 1.0.0.1025 <<<<<<<< WRONG ROM Number/Version !!!

Flash from DOS with Included Flash Utility.
              ""

Correct Controller is at GA-X58A-OC the Marvell 9182 ROM v1.0.0.0025

Sorry but i dont install this BIOS-MOD!

If u create again a new one for me then please...

              Mainboard GA-X58A-OC Rev. 1.0

-> BIOS Version F5E Beta (or latest actual)

-> ROM Intel AHCI/RAID v12.0.0.1783 (or latest actual)

-> ROM Marvell 9182 v1.0.0.0025 (or latest actual)

              -> ROM Realtek LAN PXE v2.52 (or latest actual) <<< i see a v2.53

              • Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios

In that BIOS Mod, I replaced the extracted 91a2b.bin v1.0.0.17 with the Newer 91a2b.bin v1.0.0.25 (which I renamed to 91a2b25.bin).
That was just a Typo in the .txt file.
See the attached Screenshot for Proof.
And the Realtek ROM v2.52 was the newest I had at that time, v 2.53 was releasd a day or 2 later.
It's only used to Boot a PC VIA Network anyways, so if you don't do that you'll never even need it.

                          In "CPU Patch" section.

Delete version 16 and insert 17 (a Patch Data).

(If work for Asus?......I think no )

                            Hello guys,
Is there any reason for the gigabyte p67a-ud3p-b3 not being in par with it's grand brothers & sisters ud4, etc... ? (For the intel & realtek rom versions : 11.1 VS 11.5) ?
Is it because of an incompatibility or just because nobody did it ?
And if the latter, is it easy to do ? I know a bit of computer science but I never tried to mod my BIOS, it terrifies me <_<
                            Best regards

ps: is it normal that in quick reply mod we don't get to see the security question ?
