Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios
Hello.
Could you modify ahci rom and other components of the BIOS GA Q35m-s2?
Please, change the microcode processor with caution, as in this version of the BIOS microcode inserted Xeon processors (mod 771).
Thanks.Last edited by Johnny_P; 10-31-2015, 01:44 PM.

Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios
Request: Modify Z170X-UD5 Bios to add IOAPIC 24-119 Entries option in BIOS or set this option as disabled by default. Also if MSR locked please remove MSR lock
BIOS Link: http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList...70x-ud5_f4.zip
I have tried using AMIBCP to modify the BIOS, but q-flash and Efiflash both give Invalid BIOS Image

Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios
Hi. To clarify: If we could please have something towards a general proceedure how to modify the IOAPIC 24-119 Entries Setting for any Gigabyte Z170X-* BIOSes thank you. For example mine is a Z170X Gaming 3 and so on. Others have different boards but they're all based around the same BIOS.

Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios
Hi stasio,
Could you help me with bios modifying for Z97N Gaming 5?
I am using Broadwell i5-5675C in HDPlex H1.S tiny case without discrete graphics. So having everything up to date is important for me.

Re: GIGABYTE Modified Bios
^
Use UBU 1.42, it's easy and very simple to update your BIOS.
UEFI BIOS Updater ? RGhost ? file sharing
How to use the "UEFI BIOS Updater":

But how can I update the Broadwell microcode without deletion of Haswell microcode? I am not planning to use any Haswell CPU on this board but I am worried if it does not cause any problems with Haswell vBIOS + Broadwell iGPU
