The BIOS thing on my mates notebook is random. In his BIOS settings he has a Boot Booster which according to his manual POST's the BIOS from the HDD rather than the BIOS chip, when enabled its def alot quicker.
Ahh never heard of that? Still does not sound like it is actually booting anythign BIOS related from the HD. I bet it is just skipping any extras needed like checking installed devices, verifying DMI Table data, ect and instead just booting with last known good BIOS settings skipping all internal checks.

Of course I am not always right, and since that mentioned HDD I could be wrong, but it just does not seem logical to me that it would be faster that way.

Wazza, that's actually fairly quick! Is that at stock?

I suppose I shouldn't feel too bad then with a boot time of around 51 seconds but I do. It's a shame in that Windows 7 improved bootup and shutdown times significantly but Gigabyte boards are so slow to post that it basically null and voids the increase. It would be nice and very much appreciated if Gigabyte worked on improving these bootup times. If it's because of the dual BIOS or some other feature give us a method to disable the feature to improve the bootup times.

                          Ken

Always something isn't it? HAHA, J/K (Giving you guys a hard time is all)

Sorry I did not make a video yet, would you still like one from me? I do think 45 seconds to 1 1/2 min is about normal depending on your overclock and BIOS settings (disk related)
