my brandnew UD7 will not behave.
It gets power, cpu fan starts and then stops inmediatly. i reseated de cpu and scythe mugen2 cooler. i changed memory combinations with my corsair 1600 cl9 set of 6, even trying with just 1. i took the graphicxs card out.
error code 8b or 88, whatever.
it didnt make any difference. no beep.
since the cpu fan stops, i power down de computer inmediately.
yeah, the power button works.
He wrote he tried everything...even with one stick of RAM. If he would not say that my first answer would be its ram settings but, If you tried with one stick and on a default everything, then i would just say unplug the cooler you can do it as its big and with no OC will still do the job and plug in different fan so we will know at least to look for error in system. We will know its not cooler or bad contact, dust...etc. Can you try that first and let us know?
when mine does that it's usually because of mem and uncore multi set incorrectly. I think there is some combinations of cpu/mem/uncore/qpi multi's that just dont work. eg, (if i remember correctly) I cant use 6x mem, 12x uncfre and 20x cpu together.

How is the Apogee XT working out for you on the UD7? I am thinking about buying both but I saw that the Apogee wasn't compatible with a few Gigabyte boards like the GA-EX58-UD5. See here.
Also is the included water block any good, it's not 1/2" which is what I want to use but I can always use adaptors or a spit loop.
Sweet, I'm probably geting the UD7 and apogee xt, just don't know if I should wait to see if the upcoming i930 oc's better than the current i920's.
What r you aiming at OC mine can do 4.5G on air and if i don't have good raid 2.66G with SSD or good raid will blow mine off. well i gues what i am saying the ratio between good hard drive or ssd or SATA III and OC is more important then if you can get 0.5G more out of CPU. And then comes i9, PCI-E 3.0...etc like i mention i updated to UD7 but fact is we will all have thread about new Mobo till thhere will be out enough SATA III HDD)(so far 1 SEAGATE asi know??) I have two machines and keep waiting and updating now I will finish this and wait for a while
Great stuff mate. If it's not to much of a troubles can you post more pictures and tell me where did you get all conponents(Pump, hose, radiator,Radiator Fans,T-line / Fillport,
QD Fittings and how much i assume 3 radiators...and what else you have???) If it is not to much to ask can you send to my email [email protected] Thank you
I was considering this board, the only thing holding me back is the passive heat pipe add on. I am water cooling my CPU, just rebuilt my loop, I have no desire to water cool the board. I like gigabyte boards a lot but cant find one I really like for this platform, the UD5 looks to much like my UD3P board plus I am using the apogee xt block, I dont think it will fit the UD5.
Is installing this heat pipe on the UD7 a real pain and does it get in the way?
