WOW windows 7 64 bit is slower for games than Windows XP 32 bit. HUGE differennce in UT3. Going to be impossible to run prime95 and UT3 at the same time. Granted it is nice.. lots of eyecandy..

Must just be UT3. I get more performance in every game I play on Win 7 vs ||XP and Vista SP2.
WoW, COD:WAW, COD4, Far Cry, Far Cry 2, Age of Empires 3, Bioshock, Devil May Cry 4, Prototype (which is a poo game btw), Half Life 2, HL2 EP1 & EP2 and up to 40% more FPS in Crysis Warhead.

Try a couple more drivers. Nvidia's always pissing ablou with drivers. You get five beta's a week and one official every 6 months. :)~

I have not tweaked either OS nor UT3 all at what they install at... probably has outragous filtering turned on or something. Been so long since I installed a new OS.. I need to be able to stress test while gaming!

Have you patched UT3 to the latest version? If it's a definate performance issue, maybe running it in Vista SP1 mode may help.

Try a 3DMark Vantage run. On the default test (performance @ 1280x1024) my score is 8,000+ on the GPU so you should be seeing at least 10,000+.

SOunds perfect for a 260. CPU score is obviously way out there due to Nvidia Physx aceleration, but 10K plus or minus a little is great. I'd look into it being a UT3 issue, maybe requiring a patch. Is it up to date? Also try some different drivers, use the current WHQL and the last WHQL releases and see which works best. Thee may also be some modded Quatro drivers out there if you're feeling brave.

A little tweaking was all I needed. It has my AA filtering maxed out. Making the filtering reasonable with all other details maxed is very nice. :
Now I am back to working on a 525FSB...

I have hit 4.12G and temps are low 70's with IBT.. by 4.25G and I am running low 80's for IBT.. not end of the world.. but I'm now shooting for 525FSB x 8 = 4.20Ghz to see where my temps fall.

D-and-W you having any luck with skew? if your CPU is around 4Ghz try CPU skew of 350, and if your FSB is 500+ try MCH skew of 200-250. Don't fear the skew man!

Not used skew yet, got Prime Large to run for 13hrs before failure so I guess I am going the right way. IBT passes 20x trials every time, currently testing Prime Small and maybe some OCCT in a while.

Will post template when I can reboot...

Ok, 24hrs Prime Small passed, passes IBT every time, just Prime Large to retest (I made a slight adjustment to MCH Ref)...

Using this template just with MCH Ref 0.680V @ 1.2VTT instead of 0.700V

Pretty happy with this so far as I have managed to get MCH Core below the official psycho101 maximum allowed upper limit

How the heck do you manage to boot at this FSB with static tRead of 9?

I dunno, profJim keeps telling me I will have to raise it, but not had to yet...

MCH Ref 0.680V @ 1.2VTT failed Prime Large after about 30mins so I went the other way to MCH Ref 0.720V @ 1.2VTT which so far has passed well over 18hrs of Large.

Could this be the "sweetspot" MCH Reference?
