See with AMIBCP 4.53 both bios files, both have all cpu code, mmtool can not see all cpu-codes, why, gigabyte make crap with this microcode modul, see modul with hex-editor...
... bios modul with HEX-Editor, you see this crap: "yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" is Gigabte crazy or whatever
It is really useful to complete and keep your PC Specs or Signature up to date in Settings /My Profile (motherboard, CPU, BIOS version modified or not ...) - Thank you all . I really thought us g1 assassin2 owners would have the new bios by now, windows 8.1 is out Friday and the new features in the bios have full support for windows 8 like the newer boards do.
I'm not positive it's the same board/revision but I remember one of the Assassin boards had a post about it which said they were in active development and would be releasing a new BIOS build in approximately two weeks, and I think it was around a week ago. I can't remember if it was in this thread, but it would be in the last several pages of one of the threads.
messed with the secondary timings, might have done tertairy as well, don't remember...
Used TPU's guide for the CAS-2 for a setting of 7 for twcl
raised the DRAM Ref Cycle to 150
This is due to the new version (V.29) of Sandy Bridge micro-code.
I've encountered same behaviour with my Z77X-UP5 TH and Z77X-UP4 TH and latest betas and i've asked to Virtualfred to mod the BIOSes (http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...fied-bios.html) with the latest ROMs and the old V.28 SB micro-code and all is fine.
Hope this will help.
Cheers,
KK
Hello everyone!
I have flashed my GA-Z77-D3H (rev. 1.1) with F22A modded BIOS, but I seem to have the same high Vcore than on F21 modded. I think I should check the F19 once again with all the additional voltages lowered and memory timings tightened. There is a chance that my chip simply needs more Vcore to cope with lower PLL (1.485 vs. 1.8) and tighter timings (10-11-10-27-1T vs. 11-11-11-30-2T). Besides that, I haven't completed the 24 hour prime torture test (just around 15 hours) and didn't use 5.5 GB of RAM, but 1.6 default value instead when running 4.5 GHz on F19. I will get back to you in case I'll find the time to flash back to F19 and re-run the testing process.
After an Clear CMOS, computer won't boot.
I must remove my Graphic Card: An Gigabyte GTX660 Ti (GV-N66TWF2-2GD REV:1.0).
So in bios if i disable Secureboot my computer can boot !
ps: i have Windows 8.1 installed, and of course windows claims that secureboot is not working (the graphic card don't have an compatible uefi bios ?, perhaps gigabyte will create an compatible bios :)) )

If you're using Nvidia drivers, that's one of the known bugs of recent drivers, that secureboot and Fastboot have problems that can cause them not to boot until they're disabled.

This is not driver related ! Computer don't boot (it crash and reboot before the Gigabyte logo)
As recommended here, I should use ver. 2.33 or above to flash the BIOS of my X79-UP4 the only version I was able to find is 2.32 B13.0829.1
Besides what is really annoying about this board is that you have to change some BIOS-Setting from UEFI to Legacy-Something (cannot remember the exact setting name right now) to get a rig with a Geforce Titan installed to boot.
This is particularly pesky, when said card is watercooled. So you have to remove the card while it is still attached to the cooling loop, insert another card, that hopefully can boot (my luck that I had one at hand - otherwise you are screwed) change the BIOS-Setting, remove the workaround-card and reinsert the Titan.
