It's first on my todo list tomorrow is to flash and play with it, I just have been busy working my butt off freelancing to get surface pro 256GB money. I hope they have stuff sorted the beta bios makes it so my 9650SE 3ware raid controller doesn't work unless its on a slot connected to the south bridge.

So when are we getting some G1 Assassin Rev2 Love ? Any News ?

The total distain gigabyte treats G1 Assassin2 owners is pathetic,"oh it's over a year old ? just buy a new one"

If Gigabyte think they will get anymore of my money after the total lack of support provided for existing motherboards they be dreaming.

Current 12S BIOS issue: not PCI-E 3.0 functionally with G1.Assassin2 and the nVidia 780GTX due to crashing on boot unless legacy card booting is used.

I'm using the 12S bios for the G1.Assassin2 and have noticed that with the 780GTX card from nVidia the Assassin2 freezes at the BIOS screen on boot.

If the BIOS settings are set to Legacy for the cards, then the system boots.

However, if you set the Assassin2 to use legacy mode (as opposed to enhanced mode), then the card only runs at PCI-E 2.x according to GPU-Z.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make sure the X79 g1.Assassin2 can use a 780GTX in PCI-E 3.0 mode as it should?

I assume you are using a Sandy Bridg-E CPU and not Ivy Bridge-E?

I can tell you the F13x bios doesn't have the secure boot bug fixed for the x79-UD5 so I suspect that the UP4 also doesn't have it fixed. I haven't moved my raid controller yet to see if that issue is resolved.
