Thanks for explaining, never really looked heavy into Modded Bio's ,,
Anytime man! They aren't all that special or anything, just some people like to always have the latest is all. And actually sometimes the newer ROM's cause various issues with certain setups or hardware, that is why Gigabyte does not update them as often as people would like.
Kind of ya, a ROM is a packet inside the BIOS kind of like a driver you could say.
I remove the original older ones put there by Gigabyte, and insert new updated ones into the BIOS file.
So, for example, let's say I install a modded BIOS with the latest ROM's and that BIOS is a modded beta version, like F8c. Then later, I flash to a non-modded version of the next beta version, like F8g. After flashing to the non-modded F8g, do I still retain the latest ROM's which were included with the prior modded F8c?
no the roms are not installed onto the computer they are contained in the bios. If you reflash you will lose those roms unless you add them to the new bios

If they are updated and the change has been noted and given to Stasion he will note that it has been changed.
The intel raid rom is easy to see which version you are using if you are using raid. It showes it as the raid rom is loading... as for the others I think you have to open the bios up in a program to change the rom's it can tell you what was are in the bios.

I don't understand anything from these Bios revisions... On gigabyte.com, the revisions for my motherboard (GA-EX58-UD3R 1.6) are not the same as the ones listed in the OP
Here you always have latest beta... Thanks Stasio.
CPU =i7 950 - DO stepping - Batch #3014A844 Cooling = EK HF Full Nickel - XSPC RX360 - Laing DDC 18W - XSPC Bay Reservoir Motherboard = GA-X58A-UD3R Revision 2, BIOS Version = Award FC Ram = 3x2gig Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D G Video = 2 X Palit GTX460 Sonic Platinum 1GB OC sli Monitor = 22" LG Flatron W2242T 1680 x 1050 Case = Coolermaster CM690 PSU = Corsair HX850 OS = Windows 7 Professional x64
But if the FJ13 revision (which is not on Gigabyte.com) is the latest beta revision, is it stable? I'm getting problem with my RAM
I would suggest updating to FJ13. If you are using FJ8 somewhere between J8-J13 they may have fixed or are working on a fix for you ram problem. If indeed it is a bios problem and not a setting problem.
