I have an ep45-ds5 board and I just upgraded from the f12 bios to the new f13a one, and I'm getting some strange and garbled text where the HPET option used to be.
I hope it's fixed on some future release. everything else works fine, though. The AHCI 1.20 is a nice addition.
Yeah,BIOS F13a for GA-EP45-DS5 is a bit buggy,GBT already know.
I have GA-EP45-DS3L with E8400 CPU. I flashed BIOS using @BIOS on Windows 7 from version 10 to 11b. I think the BIOS update went fine as system booted and the boot process was really fast. But when I logged into Win 7, I noticed that the ethernet was not working. Device manager still showed Realtek ethernet listed and said it is working fine. What can I try to get the ethernet back?

Thank you!
Try going into the BIOS and making sure that it is enabled.
It could just be your internet connection (you never know.. ).
Any new bioses for EX58-UD4P? It would be nice if CPU PLL volts below 1.300v could be added, it tremendously helps stability with x20 multiplier and 1.300v isn't low enough. Also CPU temp is still broken.
Im hoping for a new UD5 bios, beta or non, i don't care.
on another note, theres something wrong with the EP45T series, a whole bunch of kits hard lockup on them, I really want to see memory compatibility sorted out for these motherboards.
Heres a list of ram kits that dont work, bypassed spd or not, raised IMC voltage or not, doesn't matter all of these hard lockup on any P45T motherboard
4GB Kit of Corsair CM3X2G1333C9 9-9-9-24 1.5v
4GB Kit of Kingston KVR1333D3N9 J1108BABG-DJ-E
4GB Kit of Transcend JM1333KLU-2G DDR3 1333 9-9-9
2GB Kit of Kingston KVR1333D3N9 BABG-DJ (works 2x1GB, locks up 4x1GB)
Anyone know a way of getting these to work? so many people have had trouble with the EP45T series because of this.

Agreed with the S3 issue. I don't usually use it, but have recently done a re-install of |Win 7 RC. OFC on a fresh install the default powr options allow the computer to go into standby (S3 in my case). Upon conducting an action to resume the PC, the machine will just boot loop. The only way to get the PC to switch on is cut AC power for ~10 seconds then try and boot. After a single power back down when pressing the power button, the PC boots.
Yes, I do have a highish overclock, but it's as stabe as anyone would ever want it to be (see my sig for details). Nothing I can alter will make S3 work correctly.
