CCD difference in games same to me with 5900X, seems normal behaviour....

I'm wondering if it could be some sort of scheduler issue, it's kinda annoying because full loads are more evenly distributed

In other news, I'm getting better results now, was able to get PBO working by enabling it on BIOS and setting some values manually, Been running this config 100% stable with 3600 MHz RAM at 1.25v, this is my new CB20 score, I think it's still low (I think I've seen 11k average?), but a decent improvement from the previous 9.5k:

I don't know if it's getting worse or not.
Now it turns off intermittently when I watch YouTube or Twitch.

A new nvidia driver just came out that fixed BSODs for 3XXX series cards while watching videos on Chrome.
It might not all be the bios that are causing these crashes.

Is raise it for better compatibility but,you can always manually reduced.

when can we expect a beta version with (AMD) SAM support for Intel Z490 motherboards? (for example GB Z490M Gaming X)
as other brand already have beta bios ready.
There is currently only option to enable Above 4G Decoding, Re-Size BAR Support is not present.

For Z490 GB working on it so soon I guess.

New to the forum. 5950x + Aorus X570i and 3600 MHz RAM

Bios version F31J seems to be stable, L version wouldn't let me go above 3200 MHz without BSODs and restarts. However I'm still unable to run my CPU with PBO enabled (instant reboot when running any kind of heavy load) and I'm getting low cinebench scores (9500ish). I'm also seeing that one CCD is MUCH hotter than the other one (by like 15+ degrees) at times, mostly on games. Temps are very close on both CCDs when running benchmarks. Already re-applied thermal paste and it didn't seem to help:

I had to register to answer this as I dug into it for a while. There's a temp differential between CCD's because of the way Windows handles single threaded workloads, it fully loads one primary core on the preferred CCD. So in idle when not much is going on any small background tasks go to the preferred core causing it to idle slightly higher than the unused CCD. Also, during a heavy single threaded load (you can force this by running Cinebench in Single Core mode for example), the same thing happens, Windows loads its preferred core. You can use Ryzen Master to see which core the OS preferrs.

We can use that to our advantage however, because we know which core(s) the OS is going to use during light and single threaded loads. So using Ryzen Master you find OS preferred core #1 and #2, then on the other CCD preferred core #3 and #4. Write those cores down. Now go into BIOS, set up your PBO to be advanced, turn on your Auto OC to 200mhz, and in curve optimizer and enable per core offsets. Preferred core #1 and #2 should be set with a mild negative offset, 10-15mv negative. Preferred cores #3 and #4 on the other CCD will get a slightly lower negative offset 15-25mv, and the rest of the cores we will dump their voltages by a negative 75mv.

That seems to be a good baseline that bumps my R20 scores from 11800 to 12150, and bumps my R15 scores from 4875 to 5100. It also normalizes the boost behavior across the cores during
multi threaded workloads. With this as a baseline I seem to boost across all cores to 4.6, and in single threaded loads my primary cores hit 5.15.

Thank you for keeping the updates timely. F31n was finally stable for me, and I just loaded F31o but with a quick and dirty overclock on my ram I could only hit 39.33x, not the magic 40. I will play with the FLCK more tomorrow to see if I can hit the magic #, and I'll start playing with curve optimizer a bit more to dial that in better as well.

I looked back at your prior post with temps and they look good. You should be hitting somewhere between 11500 and 12000 on R20 with those temps and a good PBO setup. It's 1am here so I have got to get some sleep but tomorrow I'll give you a more detailed post on what my PBO settings are to get you started on the right track.

Well, Robert Hallock from AMD said that reaching 2000fclk is "not guaranteed". The AGESA just makes it "easier" for DDR4000 fclk 2000 1:1 to reach and not ALL samples can do it.

With such high values, isn't Gigabyte afraid of long-term damage to the power supply on the mainboards?
I assumed that a vsoc of a maximum of 1,105 is secure for 24/7 run.

Thanks a lot, will try immediately. F11m was still unstable for me, even on default JEDEC settings. Starting to think it's some other component being faulty. Losing my mind slowly.

just updated to F31o. There hasn't changed much on my system. Still seems to work fine and no more reboots / WHEA: However IF still maxing out at 1800 MHz when increasing RAM multiplier. (I didn't change any voltages except DRAM, rest Auto)
