Just updated to f20 on a z170 gaming k3 and my 6700k no longer gets down to 800mhz 8x100 in idle. It only gets as low as 1200 1300mhz. Also voltage is only 0,800v. In f3h system was automaticaly dropping to 800mhz and 0,2 0,3vcore.
How can i solve that?!
Speedshift and voltage optimisation are enabled.

I noticed on Gaming 7, it's mostly staying at 16X, however, I also see that power usage is about the same as on F8 (prior BIOS), where I believe it DID go down to 8X
I also had to play with settings on F20 to get it to work again.
on F8 BIOS, I was able to do 108*43 with 30X memory (3200Mhz) and it loaded XMP settings of 16-16-16-36
Doing the same on F20 sometimes crashed, and when it did work, it loaded 17-17-17-38

Decided to go slightly higher to see if it worked, and 109Mhz*43 with 30.6X memory worked (though at 17-17-17-38)
When I tried manual memory settings of 16-16-16-36, it seemed to ignore it and still loaded 17-17-17-38...So F20 definitely has some bugs it looks like.

Gigabyte Z170X-UD3 also have this problem.
My i5-6600 no longer gets down to 800mhz 8x100 in idle, only 900MHz 9x100 in idle after upgraded to F20 BIOS
Also, the CPU voltage is little bit higher than previous BIOS.

However, the technical support from Gigabytye (GIGABYTE - eSupport) said it is normal and please feel free to use.........
I think they do not want to fix this problem.
May be Z270 is coming, they want us buy a new motherboard ??

That is not a valid MAC address. I didn't think BIOS update would even touch this and normally it's not something that would be changed.
Did anyone else notice a change in their network MAC address? (ipconfig /all)

I bought a Z170-HD3P last August, and it came with the F5 BIOS. Everything works fine, so I perhaps shouldn't bother with updating the BIOS, but, however, I perform intense floating point computations and I'd like to be confident that my 6700K i7 is protected against the Skylake floating point bug that was discovered last January.

I feel disappointed that there's no "what's new" list in the BIOS updates released by Gigabyte, so I cannot confirm if that Skylake floating point bug is already fixed in F5, or if I'd need F20, or if it isn't fixed in either of them.

Isn't there some list of what's fixed in each BIOS version?

My motherboard is GA-Z170-Gaming K3. I'm using F3A bios and have no general problems. There are newer versions of BIOS: F20 and F21. Both of them make serious problem - WOL (wake on lan) doesn't work completely, both from standby and turn-off. With F3A - no problem. I tried default settings and no go.

Moreover F20/F21 prohibits downgrade! Thanks to this forum I was able to downgrade using fpt_DOS-Z170.

I wrote to Gigabyte about this issue, as I faced the same problem with some pre-F21 beta version and they only answered the problem has been forwarded to correct section.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong and there is some new setting that must be changed to allow WOL but I can't figure which one.

Anyone familiar with such an issue?

This weekend I oncemore tried to see if I could get the Offical F20 bios for my GB Z170x Gaming 7 to work properly.

First did a Cmos than loaded optimized bios settings.

With the F20 bios, my Windows 10 64 bits OS is not stable, the Edge Browsers Freezers up randomly, also my Logitech Wireless Keyboard and
Mouse become unresponsive.

So I went back to F8o beta bios with the new Bios layout, and this works perfectly.

So whatever I do I cann't get F20 to work with my MB / proc / SSD and operating system.

May I assume F20 will only works with Kabylake new processors?

Could be that the Wireless Mouse and Keyboard are the problem but I'm not sure.

For the time being witl use F8O beta Bios.

I have tried the roll back using the fpt_dos-z170 and the f8 bios for my gigabyte z170x gaming 7 but it doesn't work. I need some detailed explanation of what im to do. Someone please help, this is causing my xmp profile to not read 3000mhz and my games FPS are way lower than normal. If I OC my CPU it runs also worse. Help please.
