Working with Z170 Gaming G1 with single MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X installed on 1'st PCIe slot.
XMP is unstable though also CPU Core showing 1.4 even set to 1.235
Hi stasio - I can happily confirm that F20d worked perfectly on the Gaming G1. Both of my Titan X cards are detected and it restarted and displayed on the monitor right after the flash. THANK YOU! :)
I am still playing around with the BIOS, but initial settings look great. I will post back if I find anything funny.
Can someone that's upgraded to their Skylake Gigabyte board to Kabylake supporting bios comment or post a screenshot of the updated interface?
Because: according to this post (don't really know how accurate this is): Station-Drivers - Forum - New Bios "Beta" GA-Z170X-UD3 (1/1)
im using the new f20b bios on designare z170x i can not for the life of me overclock using BCLCK at all it just locks up and cycles thru debug codes continually even 20x 200clock and 10 memory does this. on top of that now i cant even downgrade the bios as its LOCKED so i have no way of figuring out if its my cpu acting up or the mobo which i think is the mobo very disapointing how its locked and im not able to bclck overclock

bclck overclock was removed time ago on all bios from all manufacturer...intel cap that on newest microcodes (since february). U have to use older bios to use that.
oh really? nah im on k series surely not im sure its just a bug with the bios the F3a works fine, i managed to roll it back using FPT instead everything working ok now, the LLC on the f20b is very different to f3a i hajd to adjust the adaptive ranges because they are all different coming from the auto values so have all been adjusted to reflect that any update stasio on a new designare z170x bios besides the f20b? thanks
Coming here to post about this same thing after finding this thread via google search.
I see there's been BIOS versions newer than f22: GA-X99-Gaming 5 - F22h, GA-X99-Gaming 5P - F23d, GA-X99M-Gaming 5 - F24a
They're not on Gigabyte's website, and there's no changelog linked here.
I'm assuming it's maybe mentioned in the individual update post for it? But this thread has over 1,050 pages and trying to find it is insane time sink.
Is there a full version history changelog somewhere? Ones that actually include all the changes? Because going from F21 to F22 not only overhauled the entire UI of the BIOS, but it also made it load instantly instead of take 10 seconds, and also added a bunch of new features that aren't really explained.
Just updated to GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 - F20 on my Gaming 7 (rev 1.0), seems fine but when you try to change settings to do with CPU dynamic speed management (Speedstep), the CPU drops to 800mhz !
More worrying when I try to revert to an older stable (F8) bios I get the following warning in
QFlash
"The current BIOS image is outdated"
"Please update your BIOS to the latest version!"
@BIOS.
"This motherboard is protected from using this BIOS"
"Please download the latest BIOS from GIGABYTE website to update BIOS again"
Efiflash (Ruffus)
"The current BIOS image is outdated"
"Ask your vendor or visit Gigabyte Website()
for an updates one!"
Any thoughts on how to downgrade?
Kind regards,
Peter.

I have the same problem...
After get a problem getting duplicate entries on my BIOS, I saw yesterday an update to my BIOS, so I update it, but after that I can't boot on my macOS SSD Partition and can't boot on my Windows 10 partition, I'm searching any way how to downgrade it
How I can downgrade to the past version(F4, the actual is F20)
Finally I Boot into macOS but just with: cpus=1 but I can't boot yet in any OS, just macOS and can't downgrade via QFlash, I read on a forum about use FPT Tool but Tried it (I think is a old version) and said
Error 201: [FPT.exe] cannot be run on the current platform. Please contact your vendor.
Anyone know how to downgrade? Tried contacting the gigabyte support but doesnt reply, on twitter doesnt reply, on the gigabyte forum dont reply. I need help
