What does "Spread Spectrum" do? In what situation would someone want to enable or disable it?

Spread Spectrum in BIOS is set to [Enabled], varies the BCLK (clock) constantly in the range of up to + / - ~ 0.3%. Of 33 new BIOS's uploaded today,I also start to check for my UD6,what is difference from previous BIOS.

EX58-UD4P so far only difference I see is the addition of spread spectrum in standard clock control page.

33 new bios? Any chance of seeing a new one for the ep45-ds5? I'm still stuck with the 2008 one.

GA-P55A-UD4P F8 link is also broken. I'd really like this as I'm unable to boot with any USB Mass Storage devices connected using the F7 BIOS. Have a request into Gigabyte, but I'd love to give F8 a shot.

The links work now, the dropbox links were broken and gave the 403 error. I already tried IDM and it also gives a forbidden access error. I believe you are giving DB links to a private/non-public folder (yes I tried logging in thinking it might be required from DB now).
