FISTICUFFS: Prescotts don't, and won't give u better performance compared to Northwoods, at least not until SSE3-optimized apps are out and the higher clocked ones are out (read the Anandtech article about this).
From all the indications I have seen so far, they are on-par with the Northwoods in 3DMark2001.
You can edit RAM timings in the BIOS. 2-2-2-5 is the fastest you can hope for, but you will likely not be able to run it.
Yeah basically what I did was combined everything I learned from benching my 5900 and applied it when I threw in the Ti4400, and was immediately able to get a max score out of it. Too bad it doesn't clock higher though.
Got 12,985 with my studgy Dell. No OCing this thing.
3.06/533fsb & ATI 9500Pro. Absolutely all stock settings. Installing a new 9800 Pro this weekend & hope to improve a bit.
Just OCed it from 200/150 to 335/161. Scored 4689.
Edit: oh yeah, system...
P4 Northwood 2GHz
512MB PC2100 RAM (it's crappy RAM even for PC2100)
80GB 7200RPM 2MB Maxtor
Some crappy motherboard you've never heard of
17k and change with my new 6800 (absolutely plain bare 128MB only 12pipes, but cheap ). I'll work on a screenshot as I don't have any internet connections into that machine.
btw, djon... thats insanity... You should get a bumper sticker or tatoo or something with that number.
