  • Tape to File?

I need to know what equipment is needed to take a 2" cassette tape from a digital camera which will store it on my HD.

Currently I am working with an Apple laptop and iMovie which, I am told, cannot deal with more than 7 mins. at a time. I have a 48 min. introductory tape that will be very difficult to post on the internet.

I figure if all the studio does is make the tape then all they need do is give me the tape which then allows me to transfer it to a computer video file which I can then edit using an editor of my choice.

    -thx,

a tv tuner card would do it.

I don't get it - a card - in a PCI slot?? There is no place to fit the 2" cassette tape. :/ (Sorry I'm so dense.)

No, as in play the tape (using the video camera) through the tv tuner card, and record the input to a video file, etc.
