bad fps in farcry with 9800pro

I tried to run pier on default high with 2 af and medium aa. I got pretty good performance, although i think theres an image quality loss compared to turning on aa and af in the cp. also when i tried to run with high aa i got bad performance. What is fc's aa and af levels in real money?
BTW, how do u turn on the fps counrter?

You have to use a program such as Fraps 2.0

Do you have DirectX 9.0b installed, as well as your chipset drivers and so on? Also, if you must, just ty uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Overall though, a lot depends on what resolution your trying to accomplish all of this on.

read my first post :roll: i have dx9b installed. another thing i can think of is that i haven't defragmented in like 1+ month.

I don't understand what you mean. I'm assuming in the game options itself you can just change the AA/AF to 2x, 4x and so on, and that's the same 2x or 4x or whatever you get when you do it in the Display properties in Windows, but some games rather have it done from within the game itself.

you really arent making much sence.
AA is AA whether its enabled in game or in control panel. its the same with AF.
