whats a good cooler for NB?? it seems that i messed up in reading my hmonitor. CPu is 32C whlie NB is 39.
Mind you I need to get like 4 of these puppies!!
Most coolers I have seen that are made for northbridges are very small and ineffective(basically looks). They remind me of stock fans on like a radeon card or something like that. I'm not to sure about the abit 1, but if that was me, I would check out tt blue or crystal orbs for clearance. They are both effective cooling solutions. Hope u got mounting holes as thermal tape would suck.
And u don't have a hardware list in your sig. Beware of how flat or not flat any of these smaller these coolers can be. May need a bit of lappin.
I use blueorbs because they are much cheaper and similar in performance. review
well, the stock one on my KG7 motherboards (5 of them) looks like a piece of plastic, with about 2-3mm of clearance before the fan is on top, so i am not suprised by how they suck. These looked like a decent ones, but will give the orbs a try.
Definatly go for the crystal orb. i epoxied mine on and it let the fsb go up by 2 or 3, so it is NOT just for looks, it needs cooling especially if you are pumping higher than normal voltage through...some people even water cool it, but for $7, i think the crystal orb is more than enough cooling.
