    did u use a vice boon? I wouldn't like to use a knife on one of those,too close to the line of resistors

      I did use a vice, wazza, on the 4770k. It was pretty easy.
      Some people use a heatgun and fishing line and say it's pretty easy that way.

      I took my 4770K apart the other day and put new CLP TIM inside, then used some black High temp RTV on each corner to glue the IHS back down. Temps went down a little bit more so I guess I did a better job.

            Finally at home.......



            Not bad atm....CPU VID 1.181V......at stock

            My 4790K with latest LinX topped on 78C (ambient 33C)..... at stock voltage.

            CPU Vcore is 1.200V and CPU VID is 1.183V.




            Let's start to set manually........

                      Mine does 4.9ghz with 1.342v on the z97x soc force mobo. It boots windows at 5ghz on 1.4v but is no were near stable, blue screen soon as i start anything even cpu-z. stasio: do you know if the F7 beta bios have any advantages over F6 bios ?

                        I always prefer Beta BIOS...yea,for sure is some improvements, but details are confidential.

                          4,7 at that voltage is a nice OC.

                          BTW, z97 gb boards have adaptative voltage or are like gb z87 ones?

                          Please post your oc settings at bios (vrin, llc)

                            You can see my setting in BIOS by GTL posted above...."Gigabyte TweakLauncher"....LLC is Extreme.
                            Same as Z87.
