    Also, to change Tjmax in HWiNFO, right-click on a core temp and the bottom option is 'Adjust Tj,max' :)

    and finally - I can't remember if you said anything about the direction my top case fan should be aimed at - It's currently blowing away from the Cooler - at idle it doesn't seem to affect the core temps so may not need it at all (will do some more testing later) but just wondering if you think I should flip it to aim at the cooler?

      Available = 2846MB divided by 4 = 711MB minus 71 (10%) = 640MB for each of the four HCI Memtest tasks.
      In HWiNFO, Physical Memory Available, 6th item down from the top of the list will work too.

      Does your top case fan have a filter?
      If not, blowing air down on the cpu heat sink will depost dust and dirt on the cooler.
      I don't recall if you have a side case fan, if not your case has a negative pressure setup which isn't ideal.
      It's also important to have air flow currents through your case that aren't fighting each other.
      Tomorrow is another day for dealing with the top cooling fan.

      Thanks for the HWiNFO TjMax adjustment info, that was too easy, that's why I missed it.

            It seems the log is too large to send but I'm thinking that since it ran without any errors it might not be needed right now anyways?

            I didn't have to change the vcore :)

            Is next test 3.6 - what is the best FSB and multiplier setting for this again? I might just go ahead and keep the vcore at 1.23750V and see what happens!

              Darn - just saw that you said I should let it run for 11-12 hours... I think it ran for about 5 hours maybe? Is that sufficient?

              I'm gonna have a quick test at 3.6 (400FSB, 9x multi) to see if it boots without any added vcore.

                CPU flickering between multi x9 and multi x6 - would you agree?

                I'll try increasing vcore to 1.26875V and see if this helps

                        A 5 hour stress test with no errors is a good test, but longer tests are even better.

                        Your varying cpu multiplier is due to having EIST and C1E enabled.
                        I told you to enable these settings when you were doing the RealTemp sensor test.
                        When you are overclocking and stress testing you should disable both of these settings.
                        Once you reach your final overclock goal, then you should enable both settings and do a long stress test to ensure that your system is still stable. If it isn't stable, you'll need to tweak and test until it is stable.

                        I have EIST and C1E enabled with my stable 3.80GHz and 4.00GHz.
                        I recently completed an extended HCI Memtest session with no errors.
                        This type of very long test won't hurt as a final stress test when you're done overclocking.

                        When you have a BSOD or failed stress test, post relevant screen-shots and your failed bios template.
                        Including your memory screen-shot from Memset is always helpful.
                        Note: improper memory settings and/or related voltages can trigger "hardware error" messages even when your memory is normally fine.

                        Upload your log to a free file sharing service and provide us with a link to the log file so we can download it.

                        A web search using: bsod 0x1a will provide links that can often help solve the problem.
                        From Bug Check 0x1A: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (Windows Debuggers), they say:
                        0x5003: The working set free list is corrupt. This is probably a hardware error.
                        It looks like the first parameter is 5003 or technically it is 00000000 00005003.
                        In your case the hardware error is possibly/probably due to a voltage setting that is too low, probably your cpu voltage.

                        Set your top case fan as an air intake fan to see if this will help lower cpu and cpu core temperatures.

                        The attached image is from my 50 hour HCI Memtest stress test and there were no errors.
                        The individual core temperatures varied from the low 40o(C) range to the low 50o(C) range based on varying my room temperature from 16o(C) to 23o(C).

                          I'm gonna' assume that the BSOD (and subsequent second BSOD) were due to undervolting the CPU...

                            My 2 cents:
                            • A 3 - 4 hour stress test shows that your system might be stable
                            • A 6 - 8 hour stress test indicates that your system is reasonably stable.
                            • A 12 hour (or longer) tests implies that your system is stable.
                            • A 50 hour stress test shows that you are paranoid.

                            Keep in mind that FSB OverVoltage Control and/or (G)MCH OverVoltage Control might eventually require +0.2 settings.

                            My concern is that your computer case airflow is not adequate.
                            My Cooler Master 690 case has:
                            • 1 120mm front panel intake fan
                            • 1 120mm bottom intake fan
                            • 1 140mm side panel intake fan
                            • 1 120mm side panel intake fan
                            • 1 120mm rear exhaust fan
                            • 2 140mm top exhaust fans
                            • 1 120mm cpu cooler fan (1800 max rpm)

                            and this is for my E6300 (R0) cpu at 3.50GHz.

                            If you have a desktop fan (200mm diameter or larger) remove your side case and let the fan blow into your computer case to see if this helps with cpu temperatures.

                              So for each CPU increase do you think 12 hours is needed or is 6 hours ok and then 12 hours when it appears close to it's limit?

                              My computer isn't as quiet as I'd like it to be, but I have some noise (speed) reducing adapters from my Noctua cooler that I might use on my case fans and then I'd be more comfortable leaving it running overnight.

                              Unfortunately I don't have a desk fan but I've got the side of the case off for making adjustments when needed.

                              I don't know what an easy way of adding side fans to the case would be...

                              Also, if the system fails for whatever reason during the night will it be ok and not overheat or anything?

                                I consider a six hour test OK, but not a great test.
                                My extreme 50 hour test was superb-a-mundo and if someone wants to call it excessive, I won't argue with them.
                                Different strokes for different folks.

                                The Noctua adapters will lower the normal fan speed from 1300 rpm to 1100 rpm (black adapter) or 900 rpm (blue adapter).
                                Either of these slower fan speeds reduces noise and cooling ability, and will increase temperatures under heavy loads, such as stress testing, gaming or when running other intensive programs.

                                A better approach is to use a Y-splitter cable connected to the CPU fan header and using the Voltage PWM bios setting with 3-pin fans. This splitter cable needs to have only one yellow fan wire connected to the female cable end that plugs in to the cpu fan header. You want to be sure that the combined amperage for both fans is 1 amp or less.

                                This cable has one of the yellow wires removed from one of the fan connectors:




                                Don't buy a cable with unprotected male connectors, if the cable disconnects from the fan's female connector, the male end can cause a short-circuit:


                                Don't ask me how I know this from first hand experience.
                                I killed one fan header when this happened but luckily there was no other damage to the motherboard.


                                As I recall, your P182 is a very quiet case, but not very good at providing superior cooling.
                                Your Noctua fans should be quiet, even at 1300 rpm, their full speed.
                                You might be able to find some new fans that provide decent cooling and are quieter than your other case fans, but it will probably cost $15 - $25 per fan or possibly a bit more. Less expensive fans are usually noisier and don't provide optimal cooling.

                                I've used several excellent Arctic Cooling fans and have two of their 80mm PWM fans in my CM HAF XB computer case. I prefer their conventional PWM fans with fluid dynamic bearings:

                                Another option is to buy a manual fan controller where you can control individual fan speeds. Years ago I bought 6 Scythe S-Flex 1600 rpm fans rated at 64 cfm. Running them at 1100 - 1200 (and lower cfm) was not objectionable to me, but they might be objectionable to others. Newer Noctua fans might solve the noise issue and there are a few excellent fan models made by some companies. The S-Flex fans were considered reasonably quiet performance fans and were discontinued several years ago.

                                Keep in mind that you can save multiple stable bios profiles.
                                This way you can load and run a slower/quieter profile or load a faster and noisier profile any time.

                                With CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2) = [Enabled], your cpu should protect itself if its temperatures get too high.
