Would love to grab a Z97X-OC Force! (or non-force) They look nice but I don't see a massive improvement over Z87 other than the obvious M.2 and SATA Express :)

Newegg has a bunch of Gigabyte Z97 boards listed...they are showing a release date of May 11.
I'm looking hard at the Z97-UD5H Black edition for my main rig, I like how they toned down the heatsink colors finally.
Not real crazy about paying extra for the extended testing/warranty of the black edition, but could be a good thing I guess.

3 times I flashed my Z87X-OC with Z97X-SOC BIOS......seems LAN Mac address is different,so no LAN connection....
At the end,I think boards and BIOS's are not 100% compatible...........

Waiting for my Z97X-SOC or Z97X-SOC Force......hope this month.

Edit:
Also iTE I/O Controller Chip and fan controll is different models, so reading some values as nonsences....

Yeah you should be able to get the board this month anywhere I guess since Newegg says theirs will be available 5/11.

How do you get that DRAM sync to work on GTL, and what exactly does it do?

EDIT: just looked on Amazon and UD5H is for sale with 1 day shipping in US...

Hehe,the DRAM sync to work on GTL is only for Z97 system.......now I flashed back to Z87 and.......no more....

whats the deal with the new force z97 oc regarding pcie lanes and sli/xfire? does it have a plx chip? from what ive read it doesn't? so what speeds would the 4 pci-e slots run at?

Guys I went ahead and ordered the UD5H (not black edition). Not crazy about the heat sink colors, but maybe I can do something about it......

are you getting a new cpu aswell? I like the oc board esp the newer realtek sound chips,i bet they sound really good

Yeah wazza, I hope to get the new cpu when it's available....and if I have the cash by then.

I think all the new Gigabyte boards have the 1150 Realtek now? I know the UD5H does.....we'll see if it sounds better than my Xonar card.

yeah they do but its a big jump from alc89 something its alc1050 something now
