Is't save (who knows what doing), but not gain (is opposite).....mostly because many upgrades over Z87X-OC,as posted on previous page.

          Re: Gigabyte Z97 Boards Teazer

I was thinking of trying to get by without reinstalling Windows 7 with the new Z97 board. (should be here Wednesday)
Help me think what drivers to uninstall before swapping boards:
          IRST?
          USB 3.0?
          Chipset driver?
          MEI driver?

LAN driver and App Center stuff should be OK since they are the same....

          What do y'all think?

              Finally........

              -TDP...88W
              -single core 4.4GHz boost

But the enthusiasts community has to wait a month more to gain access to the more overclocking friendly Devil's Canyon processors which will include the flagship Core i7-4790K and Core i5-4690K CPUs.

                Thanks stasio.

Looks like 4790 is going to be a nice little clocker right out of the box.

UD3H looks pretty decent if it has all you need. Actually for features / looks seems better than gaming 7 to me.

A lot of what is going on with boards make no sense to me....I don't get the whole naming thing with the "gaming" boards. I don't understand why I can't buy a UD5H with simple black heatsinks without spending another $40.
But it is what it is and I settled on the "normal" UD5H which of course (all) have 1 less USB 3.0 header. I guess they used up all the pcie lanes with the M.2 & SATA express, I don't know...but it means I have to tuck one USB 3.0 cable out of the way somehow on my SM8.
