Re: Z77m-d3h rev 1.1 crashes while playing games

You can use EVGA Precision X or MSI AfterBurner to tweak your video card settings.
I use MSI AfterBurner, download for the program and user manual file: MSI Afterburner download
Both programs offer similar features and allow saving gpu profiles, gpu sensor logging and more.

With lower gpu and/or memory speeds, you might be able to also lower gpu voltages slightly.
Trying a 50MHz lower gpu speed might be a good start.

well hmmm i didnt run the prime95 test, but i finally got a spare psu to swap in i thought that was the fix but once again another freeze while (playing League of legends) all the while i was only using the onboard video (placed the gpu in an antistatic bag) but same freeze again just locks up no errors then when try to hard reset it wont even post. I also took my ram sticks to a friends house tried them one at a time and they post'd fine so atm im at my wits end. (posting this from my old PC) ./frustrated
*since my last post it went alright for one whole day then its first crash*

Re: Z77m-d3h rev 1.1 crashes while playing games

Which bios version are you running? CPU-z Motherboard window will display the bios version.
If windows Event Viewer doesn't show any warning or errors that occurred shortly before the freeze, the HWiNFO64 sensor log might show voltages, temperatures or some other problems that might be causing the freezes or BSOD's.

Make a note of any bios settings that you have changed from the default settings and then clear the CMOS for 10 minutes or longer, with the psu power cable unplugged from the wall outlet or from the back of the power supply. You will then need to boot into the bios, load Optimized Bios defaults, save settings and exit, then enter the bios again and manually reenter your previous bios settings.

It sounds like the video card isn't the primary cause of your freezes or BSOD's.

It might be worthwhile to test with only one 4GB memory module installed in the correct memory slot that is described in your user manual.

Re: Z77m-d3h rev 1.1 crashes while playing games

Flashed to the backup bios using Ctrl + F10 and it said 'the main bios is corrupted' (idk if this is a automatic response or not) and i let it go through it paces i loaded optimized default settings then changed them manually as when I first set up this machine. Just gonna wait and see what happens now.

unfortunately even after flashing from the old bios im still getting crashes I am just gonna sign off on this mobo and try and get the board i originally intended for my build (GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP4 TH)

Profjim is there a way i can send u my last hwinfo logs in a email becuz i cant upload it due to its size
