Re: Gigabyte's next flag ship board Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD9

i think there is a bios problem with CPU and board Temps
my system is running at 46C
my CPU is running at 48C
my set up is the same as it was before Swiftech APOGEE GTZ for CPU
i am also useing the biult in northbridge waterblock just like i did on the EX58 etreme board

i have a new waterblock comming for cpu should be here today i dont think it will chamge but i am coing to try

you also can not use the Hybrid Silent-Pipe 2 when you plug the power in to the PCIE slot this is a big flaw
it say in manual to plug these in when running more then 1 video cards

LSD can you check with gigabyte about the Temps

Are you using the latest Everest?

Even if so, it may not be updated yet for UD9, you may need to send Fiery your CPU-z dump
Lavalys Discussion Forum -> Hardware monitoring

Or do you mean these temps are also shown in the BIOS? If so it is likely a BIOS bug, they will work it out soon I am sure.

            used Everest Ultimate Edition v5.0.0.1650
also install easytune 6 just see if they where same they where i dont like easytune though it was still right
installed new waterblock today same temp 59 but only 65 in game so that tells me it off for sure plus water is not that hot in the reservoir
on the extreme board temp were 35 idle 45 in game running @ 4.0

the board temp is 39 on the UD9 as well so i know the CPU temp is off

Re: Gigabyte's next flag ship board Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD9

This is very disappointing. I've been planning to buy this since I saw the first leaks of the board.

However, I won't even consider it at that price. It looks like for the dice/LN2 I'll either be grabbing a Classy or the R3E. I'm not normally one to insult Gigabyte as I love their products and service, but what could they have been thinking?! I'd be surprised if this board has sold more than 25 units.

              I was expecting $400-$450 max...

Sorry Gigabyte, you lose this round. Better luck next time.

Please also send in a report here, since they charge so much for this board they should try to take care of this quickly for you guys

I am sure prices will come down after a month or so.

Classy and R3E are not even in similar ranges spec-wise, they are more like the UD7. Dinos22 did a price/spec run down here

The 4-way Classified is only $430. The prices Dinos gave were for Australians (wow that would be awful).

Either way, I won't be able to buy this board for another month or so. If it doesn't come down to around $500, I will not be buying it and I suspect not many others will either.

It sucks because I really wanted this...

Hmmm.....It would be interesting to see if Gigabyte would do any sort drastic price drop on this board in about a month or so. To me, that would pretty much be an admission that the board is way over priced. BTW I see Newegg did some censoring as they dropped all the comments about the price of the board, and my comment about oc101's post, which I said was fishy. BTW his post has also been "rewritten" Hmmmm

At any rate I think Gigabyte is going to take a large hit on that board price wise.

because just like years ago when gigabyte did so super high end boards for the 478 socket they only make limited number its not mass produce like lower end boards

so as you can see there no way its right as when i go in game temp will go up this is at a idle

Can I ask why you're using version 5.0 of Everest to qualify for temps? The reason I ask is cause I had version 5.30, it wouldn't indentify my X58-UD5, consequently I had to upgrade to 5.50 in order to get the software to recognize the board. Just curious.

So I'm not as mad at Gigabyte as there is no way this pricing is their idea. Since Newegg is currently the only carrier, they're jacking up the prices quite a bit.

For example, this board is cheaper in Australia at $642 AUS.

This is also more expensive than the SR-2...

Gigabyte isn't stupid. There's no way they'd do that.
