  • Re: GA-EP45-UD3P - Won't boot with 450FSB

I'm having some luck(7+ hours and going) with removing all skew, MCH Core of 1.26 and ref of .74 (500FSB, 2.00D, 6x multi for 3Ghz, ya that's an underclock)... Soon as I get something that goes 24 hours I'll post the beast.

    **EDIT**

    12 hrs+ and still going

I am going to wait for something DX11 5*** based before upgrading now. I did have 2x Sapphire 4890 Atomics on pre-order but they turned out to be Vapour(-X-)ware...

Is that with Sapphire Direct? Just wondered why you thought that, but could pre-order them...

No, a site in the UK had them on pre-order but they never arrived...

Ok I found a nice 28+ hours stable 500FSB with MCH Core @ 1.26 and MCH ref at 0.74 .
24 hours stable was yesterdays benchmark!!

Now I'm going for 530FSB... then onto CPU overclocking.

Too bad the setups are ony applicable to anyone else. I am desperately trying to squeeze stable 540 from 1.28 MCH core. Screw CPU, 4GHz is enough for me. But the bloody chipset!

Ahh, maybe they just planned to release them and now want to wait and do 5xxx series?

As usual, the review sites got them but AFAIK they couldn't produce enough high quality components (They were all hand picked) to meet demand. It seems 4870x2's have also been discontinued now too...

What does your 530+ template look like? I'm looking good so far @ 532FSB, I think with 1.30 MCH Core.. I really wanted a 530+FSB @ 1.28 MCH Core.. were you able to do it?

It's too early yet, but I finally managed to find something semi-stable. 10 hours into 540x.5, 1.28 MCH core. Had VCORE and VDIMM raised though. I will know more tomorrow.
I think the major change was setting CPU term to normal rather than having it scale with VTT.
