EX58-UD4P can also be crossflashed to EX, and I assume the new UD5 and UD7 can be switched too since they are the exact same minus the heatsinks.
Hehe i always tought the GA EX58 Extreme and GA EX58 Extreme UD5 are same boards, but after some research i found out that's not the case.
Anyway in short, if i got problem with F13q which is the only i could find for GA EX58 Extreme on the first page, can i use UD5 based bios without any problems? thanks!
Hi guys, it been a while since I posted here and I see theres been alot of *****ing going on, dont worry im not going to add to that, I have a genuine question and very strange issue.
I have a GA X58 UD3r rev 1 board which has been working fine without any problems really for well over a year now, my first question is does anyone know the fixes for the latest beta bios for this board and if it will help me with the following issue.
yesterday I restarted my computer after installing a new driver, the bios got stuck at verfying dmi pool data, duh, ended up me needing to make a clean instal of windows and everything else I have installed, now im running an ocz 96gb vertex ssd on this board as my main drive which was on the achi controller, however now I have had to disable achi in the bios and set my drives as standard for some unknown reason, it would appear my achi rom isnt working any longer, it just freezes on that screen whilst trying to detect the ssd, (its always worked before by the way), if I unplug the drive the achi rom detects all the other drives fine and continues, the ssd hasnt changed in anyway and the bios detects it fine as a standard drive.
im running the offical f6 bios by the way and if im not mistaken I believe there was an achi/raid rom update included in it as well as some fixes and the menu changes.
any clues anyone, TIA
