final version should be coming soon with it's own page at xs
works great, i have been messing with the past few versions and they have all worked fine! This will not though re-enable your turbo after a s3 resume , tested that myself when he first gave me the version with turbo enable/disable
Thanks!

Ya, you should not have issues with S3 at such low clocks, can you post your settings you are using? Template will be below, sounds like you are either not using enough voltage, or something on Auto that you need to set
that's very likely, i left the CPU at auto and bumped the memory controller and dimm voltages just a litte bit. i guess it was puzzling to me because the thing is rock solid in mprime and memtest86 with that setup, it just fails to return from sleep most of the time. clearly i dont know anything about overclocking (well, i mean, i design asics for a living so i understand what it's all about) but of course there are a zillion voltages that are controllable and its hard to know which ones are relevant. i suppose i need to bump the CPU voltage a bit and try again. i'm working on another build right now but soon i'll post my settings. thanks for the reply, i appreciate it.

I'm confused about GA-X48-DS4 bios version, I grabbed one called F3C a couple weeks ago and now on the april 24th day there was released F3B. If I posted smilies I'd post one with the eyes circling in confusing countercyclic orbits. Was f3c withdrawn for some dangerousness in it? Should I immediately replace it with the newer F3b?
( note to person complaining about x58-ds4, ha, for x48-ds4 is only like 3rd bios update they've bothered with for my poor expensive friend that still has latency issues, ds4 is the very unloved stepchild in all lines I guess )
Looking for a newer Bios (newer then F3) for GA-MA790XT-UD4P. I have the AMD AM3 955 CPU. When I turn the PC on, it does show the correct CPU name. I have to go into the Bios to set everything (which isn't a problem). I set the voltage to 1.25 and the multiplier to 16x. I turned off Cool n Quiet also. The problem I am having is that the CPU is running at 4x multiplier no matter what I set it to in the Bios. The only way to fix this is to run AMD overdrive everytime and to set the multiplier to the correct 16x. Then, I am running at the correct speed. I can change the bus speed from 200mhz in the bios and that change stays according to CPUz but the multiplier is always 4x unless I use AMD overdrive. I know it is running slow at 4x 200 (800mhz).
Hi,
I bought MA790XT + Phenom II 955 yesterday and have the very same issue.
Does anybody know how to fix that?
I'm now running 2000MHz OCZ Reaper DDR3 @ 200x10 on my GA EX58 Extreme with a 920. It booted fine into Windows the first try with standard settings 9-9-9-30 and passed 5 passes of memtest+.
Now trying Cas8 and see what happens.
So whatever issue you have with it... it's not standard.
Thats great news, I will try loosening my timings a bit, did you have to add any volts to QPI/VTT or anywhere else? Did you set Uncore to 20 or 21? Also what version of the BIOS are you using?

I would also like to know the voltage settings and timings.
