My understanding that it will boot but it will not be fully supported, I am guessing you would be able to flash to a newer version then.

Keep in mind that F8a has a bug where if you resume from suspend the turbo will not turn on until you restart machine.
I hope they release an update soon...

I got sick of the huge ammount of qpi needed (1.62v) to be stable at 1866mhz so I got a new MB (ASUS Rampage II Gene). Turns out that the problem became even worse with the new MB so I looked around more and found posts about this memory and the QPI voltage...
