I can tell you that the previous UD7 BIOS that had this was not made by Gigabyte Taiwan, it was a special modification by JZ @ JZelectronic.de in collaboration with a GIGABYTE Germany employee, so we may not ever see it except for the ones they modify.

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
Interesting--I just tried the 14D beta for X58-UD4P & it flashed perfectly---but locked up all my Linux installs except for Enlightenment--Windows XP booted normally. I went back to the stable 13 bios & everything worked normally. Anyone know the differences between 13 & 14D?

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
F14d for UD4P is by far the best bios for me so far. It cleared up all my overclock issues and there is far less vdroop. 1.36250v with LLC off gave 1.296v load now that gives 1.328v load. Down to 1.3435v and load is 1.312v and still stable.

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
Not sure what would cause that. Are you using the same BIOS SATA Settings? Did you disable backup BIOS to HDD?
Best thing to do is report the issue to the tech team and ask them to forward to the BIOS engineers. Be sure you tell them your full specs, and the issues with the current beta's in detail and tell them which previous BIOSes worked fine
