I have flashed back F14c without problems. By Q-Flash(F8) from UEFI
What's the point of this thread if stasio is not posting any beta BIOSes or any updates at all? We're now stuck on getting BIOSes from official Gigabyte site, with barely any changelog or information, does stasio even have access to GB FTP after the ransomware attack? He barely posts anything anymore and when he does it's just links from the official GB download site. Does anyone from GB even read this thread at all?
This thread should just be renamed "GIGABYTE BIOS discussion"
Wow F15 for the B550I AORUS PRO AX came out of nowhere, not even a beta release!
Makes me nervous to install it...
I've installed it on my build. Seems stable thus far.
One minor bug is that the FCLK setting by default, if you leave it on auto, seems fixed at 1800 MHz, even if you are running a memory speed of DDR4-3200 MHz. I had to manually set my FCLK to the AMD recommended 1:1 setting to 1600 MHz to match my RAM clock when running my memory's XMP profile.
Did some performance tests with 3DMark Timespy and Cinebench R23 using same PBO2/CO settings and Memory/XMP settings that I used with F14. Build is a 5600x with 16 GB DDR4-3200 CL16 with XMP Enabled on a B550i ITX Board.
Overall, no change in performance or stability, no WHEA errors - granted I did see some minor USB issues again on F14, that previously seemed to be fixed in F13, but so far I've seen no USB issues. Only 2 issues I've noticed are the ones I previously pointed out:
- FCLK auto setting issue in BIOS (fixed by manually setting correct FCLK for 1:1 ratio)
- Missing Boost Clock Override setting in BIOS (F15)
I cannot speak to the VDDG issue others have pointed out, because I've never testing adjusting it from the auto setting. I'll do some Prime95 runs tonight to further test stability.
I've updated the b550 aorus elite V2 from f13 to f14 and the boot time improved from 28 sec to 20-22 sec and restart from 35 sec to 28-30 sec. As for now I'm very happy from these results and the stability is also very good. I don't have pbo enabled neither oc and I can't speak for that but yeah, it's very good for now !!
tried F13 for b550 Vision D-P, first boot at 1933mhz flck like it was on F12. Crash, whea, etc... and roll back to F12 with my stable 1933 fclk... again and again... why the hell did i switch from Intel to AMD ?!? never seen such a disastrous chipset. since 1 year every bios update is a pain.
