thats the main reason i sent mine back i would have just lived with it tbh if it wasnt for that
Dual rank are harder to drive than Single but Gigabyte have them in the QVL
i really wanted the nvme slots on the master
but with the amount i paid and the waiting for ram and the issues driving fast high capacity ram
i think im just better off just running my 2 x 32GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4 3600 15-17-17-34 CR1 Gear 1
Different builds can result in different crashes.
Have you tried a different set of ram to exclude them?
if you flash it then possibly you wont be able to replace the default BIOS logo with a custom image of normal size . @BIOS wont work and AMI Logo Change will be able to put only 343 bytes image as a logo. So if everything is ok right now then theres no need to update the BIOS
Woo cares about custom Bios logo? :D I am only interested in more stability or Vcore reduction. Thats the reason I asked if someone tried it. I know I don't need to, but if it gets more stability or Vcore reduction, then count me in.
This is how you always treat people who help you? it doesn't say much in your favor
Yes, I agree, and thought calling stasio a "liar" was both ridiculous and hilarious...;) I've never known stasio to be anything but truthful and straight to the point. Some folks should read posts a bit more carefully--he never said a 1.2.0.5 AGESA-based bios was available. While you can get all kinds of bogus information from other Internet forums, stasio and this site isn't included in that bunch.
Hi stasio quick noob questions, are the X470 G7-1.0 / G7-1.1 / G7-50 Crossflashable? The only difference if any I found was the DAC chip being a different model from the same family.

o.O ... what the bloody hell!
yesterday it was not there
You aren't crazy :)
F7 for the Z590 Aorus Elite AX was gone this week too but is back now .....only the file name has a n on the end now ... n for (n)ew perhaps? so my guess is it was Faulty somehow... I have not treied it I was using F5e due to the ejectable NVME issue , but upgraded to a 11700k for PCIe4 support last weekend and the F6 Bios no longer shows that issue either.
stasio After some of your great wisdom if you dont mind.
I have been in contact with gigabyte for the z390 master f11 bios with RGB. After 2 weeks I got a copy gk.f11 but they then said they will not be responsible for any bugs that arise. I asked for more info and all they said is its f11 with RGB so not sure what's going on, wondering if you could help throw any light on this please?
I am wondering if I am alone on this or if anyone else is having any audio issues.
I am trying to narrow it down (have been for 2 months now) and starting to think it could be the bios - however, even rolling back to previous versions no longer works.
I have the X570 AORUS ULTRA (rev. 1.1/1.2) and use the onboard audio. The audio used to work flawlessly (except the pop noise changing the volume using the slider, which appears to be common but no biggy for me).
However, a few months back, I started to develop crackling in my audio, mainly Netflix or other video players. Around this time, my dual PC streaming setup started having distorted constant crackling being sent to my 2nd PC via NDI (once again, previously worked flawlessly). This would occur randomly after maybe an hour, sometimes 3 hours and I wouldn't know until it was mentioned. I couldn't fix this so I decided to reformat and clean install Windows 10.
After a fresh windows install, I thought the matter was fixed...Except now, I get distorted stuttering audio when I use NDI (now my 2 pc setup is unusable) and also discord has the same stutter when I talk. Not only that, Netflix and such still crackle on occasion and the volume slider still pops. Waste of time.
I have tried everything, voltage changes in bios, default settings without XMP, reinstalled drivers, downgraded drivers, no voicemeeter installed, another fresh wipe and clean install of Windows 11 this time, everything... but nothing works.
Has anybody else encountered audio problems by updating their bios? I am now on F35d but downgraded all the way back to F33 and the problem is still there. Is the MOBO borked?
Normal usage is most of the time normal, except on occasion will distort and I manually need to restart Voicemeeter engine. The problem happens without VM installed though so it's not the software.
Unfortunately, I've tried the latest drivers, drivers on the mobo support page, other drivers I've found. Always the same issue remains.
I still cant seem to find the solution.
To follow on with further context: here are the examples of distorted audio I receive. After a full partition delete and clean windows wipe of win10 and win11 (twice) - the issue remains. Using Voicemeeter or not. I don't understand why.
^^ this is the random occurrence that requires an audio engine restart to fix. Appears to happen randomly and you can hear near the end it return to normal after I restart the engine in VM (happens even with voicemeeter uninstalled and before I initially installed the software on a clean windows system).
This is when I tried downloading ASIO4All and tried to use that instead. The distorting is instant and constant. Same issue. The issue is there before I installed ASIO before someone says to uninstall ASIO4All to fix it.
I have clean installed windows twice. It has to be hardware I reckon. Never used to do this until a few months back. No hardware changes, only a new monitor. I always install the latest bios updates as they become available though. Just wondering if one of them, has screwed something up or if there is a setting somewhere to adjust.
Also, I still have crackling etc in movies, especially Disney+ and/or Netflix.
