Well of course they do, our hardware is a bit behind this software. When 2001 came not many could score above this numbers either. You need a dx9 videocard in order to run all 3 tests, myself and many others here doesn't have one so that is the reason our results suck like grass roots.. :thumbs do

And for christs sake try to type proper so a fellow can read now will ya..?

When posting your scores, could you all mention which motherboard, memory, processor, and
graphics card you are using, this information could prove very helpful to other members when they consider upgrading in the future.

                    Radeon 8500 LE (290/274)
                    1 gig crucial pc2100
newest omega drivers (as of early march)

The cpu cost $100 and the radeon was $50 (yeah www.craigslist.org !) Can anyone beat that buget/score? Well, probably

I'd say that is right for your setup... You may be able to squeeze a few more points out of your card with the R350 driver mod. Check this tread for details.

Well, in your case, your video card is the limiting factor for your machine's "gaming performance" in a DX9 environment. Geforce cards lesser than the new FX series typically do not do well on 3Dmark03, well, or should I say that, actually, 3Dmark03 is not tailored for cards which do not support DX9 in hardware. The GF4 MX series are significantly less powerfull than the GF4 "ti" series cards, and those are significantly less powerfull than the Radeon 9700 Pro series cards. When I had my XP2100 CPU and GF4 ti4200 I was getting about 1500 on 3Dmark03. When got my 9700 Pro, my score jumped up to 4500+! So, you can see the difference having a card which supports DX9 in hardware makes for this test. Now I get 5400+ plus on that test; that's with an XP 2600+ CPU (OC'd to past XP3000 speeds), nForce2 mobo with dual channel DDR mem, and a 9700 Pro.

I think a more fair test of your machine's abilities would be 3Dmark2001SE. Maybe give that one a go and see what you get.
