Finally passed 16000 with a dual core and single vid card about 400 less than I was getting with a Q6700 at 3.5

Single GTX 260 does pretty well at the 06 bench. Best score to date is 22563.

My system reached 21172. GPU @ factory specs. CPU slightly OC'ed @ 3209Mhz.

i just ran mark06 for first time here is my scores

3d mark06 score=17778
sm 2.0 score=6580
sm 3.0 score=7808
cpu score=6677

here is my new build

hmmm... and I have been thinking about upgrading my GPU to a 4870... maybe not.... You only beat my score by ~2600... however, I was clocked at 3.6GHz and my GPU was over clocked 700/1750/1100... that takes my GPU bandwidth from 57GB/s to 70.4GB/s.


Just bumped my GPU to 725/1812/1125 now at 73.6GB/s

IF you are running 1920X1200 or higher resolution then the HD4870 would be a major improvement. 1680X1050 and under would not see nearly as much improvement. The HD4870 would also outperform the 9800GT by a large margin if you run alot of AA and AF.
