    That's right folks. Thanks to our man, Abbas, I'm able to check out the cheapest and slowest of the new A64 chips. I can tell you that it's an Intel killer. Look at this screenshot, look at the speed. It's a first page score and we're just warming up.

    Athlon64 3200+ benchmark
    Does this mean, that AMD Athlon is dominating the P4 800MHz?? and become the fastest CPU on the market???

                  At the moment, yes, but remember its being compared to Intels current technology, which is not what the Athlon 64 will be competing against. The Prescott will be its real competition, and we will see how it does when it arrives. It will definetely be faster than the P4C 800 chips.

                  • Maybe I'll add my score aswell:

                    Hardware:
                    Barton 2500+ @ 2222MHz (11 x 202) (TT Volcano 11)
                    Abit NF7-S
                    2 x 256MB Twinmos DDR400 CAS 2.5
                    Club3d Radeon 9800Pro @ 400/700

                    3dmark2k1 = 17217

                    Any ideas if this score is ok for my system? Haven't done much benchmarking yet.. :confused:
