    I think I'm done tinkering with this ram. It won't go lower than 9-11-9-27 @ 2Ghz, at least in my experience. Now, I'm hunting that high BLCK too but so far 185 is the stable one.

      I read this post from beginning, it's very usefull even in 2011
      but i have a noob questions.
      I have KVR1333D3N9 (dont have heatspreader) + Phenom X6 + Motherboard Gigabyt GA-880G-UD3H.

      I has change the memory in bios to 7-7-7-20 1333Mhz @1.50V(auto). So far my windows 7 32bit still don't have a problem. (Just testing for 1 hour though.)

      Questions :
      - Should I raise the Volt to 1.65V instead 1.50V ? ( And the reason please ? )
      - What is better, ex: 777-20 @ 1333Mhz or 999-24 @ 1600Mhz ? What's the most taking effects, is it 777 / 999 or 1333/1600 ?

        Thank you 9Nien and I'm glad that you can find this clumsy unorganized experiment report of mine to be something useful to you.

        In my experience:

        a) If at 1.5v your system experience no glitch/hiccup then just go with it. Testing doesn't simulate everyday use since you could be using only 50% the most of system processing power versus 100% load during the test. But if your system tripped, a lot, then you maybe should go a bit higher but not really 1.650v. I just found out I can make this stick, timed 7-9-7-20 to run 1650Mhz with just 1.615v for my everyday use (this is a gaming rig, NFS, Assassin's Creed, MMO etc) and no hiccup. Plus, it's not only RAM that determine overall system health.

        b) There's a review somewhere that shows a low timing+clock perform on par with high timing-clocked RAM say 666-18, 800Mhz is as close as 999-24, 1066Mhz or maybe 999-24, 1333MHz in certain program but in reality the difference it's not that huge. There's a definite increase of read process with higher clocked RAM. So go for higher clock aka 999-24 1600Mhz. But for the pros, we can throw TB of screen shots at each other and still the debate will not cease about timing vs clockspeed RAM.

          The reason I opt for 32-bit WinXP is I couldn't afford to buy Win7 Ultimate 64bit and currently I'm quite satisfied with this antic OS.
