Hmm, doesn't sound like Redlines at all to me, I mean they should have been a breeze to get working on your UD3P and they should have overclocked very nicely.

Maybe they were faulty, do you still have them? If so maybe they just need RMA'd?

I dont use ddr2 anymore, the board and ram are collecting dust now so no need to try and RMA.

On another note, Newegg has all the different kits of Mushkin 1600 c6 in stock tonight, including the 3x2gb kit of Radioactive for 159.00. Had ordered those Redlines yesterday, and tonight ordered the Radioactive. Hopefully Ill be set for ddr3 mem for a long time.

Keep the reviews comming when you have time, I have enjoyed seeing your result.

          Looking good so far!!

Ya, with a set of each you should be set for a while now!

Those are Redlines? If so I think you got sent the wrong set of memory, even if the heatsinks and stickers are correct.

998790 is Proline 1333Mhz 999-24, that's what your everest is showing?

            CPUZ screen, the sticks I ordered > Newegg.com - Mushkin Enhanced Redline 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 998970.

Hope they didnt screw up lol, but either way they are doing well. My Elpida Hypers required a lot of QPI to run the 2:10 memory multi on the UD7 and e770 Classified, was unable to use that multi on this MSI board until now . They were able to pass a short linx run at 1960mhz 7 9 7 24~ 1.65 volts last night, 1.425vQPI load.

Maybe they just took the Proline and bumped up the voltage?

Now Im thinking of trying the Proline and see how they do on 1.65v for 80.00. At that price its worth the risk of killing a kit just to try it.

Didnt do much testing today with the new kit. This is about the limit at 7 9 7 24 without bumping up the volts. This is a great value, half the cost of my old Dominator 2000c8.

Timings look like what I'd expect, but I do think they flashed the wrong SPD info into the set as that model is Proline

                  998970 - Redline Ridgeback
                  998790 - Proline 1333Mhz

You may need to RMA if you ever plan to sell them, but of course that is up to you as you could always tell the buyer they just flashed the wrong model number is all.

I'll point Sean from Mushkin to this and let him confirm that. Timings and speed look correct for what they kit should do, just looks like it was programmed wrong is all.

                    oc nub,

The kit that you have is the 998970, several of those kits escaped with the wrong SPD flashed to them, the programmer grabbed the wrong file, got the 9 and 7 inverted.
As far as the SPD, the two are the same except the 998970 should have an XMP profile, which you are not using anyway.

This SPD will in no way effect the potential of this kit or warranty if you ever were to need it.

                    Nice clocking BTW
                    Mushkin Enhanced comes alive...

Thanks for stopping in to offer some info on this Sean, most appreciated!

I agree, he's pushing the kit good already too and he just got it!

Thanks for looking into this guys.

I dont think Ill need to RMA, they clock very well.
The Radioactive kit finally came in the mail. They also clock extremely well on this MSI XPower board. I am enjoying the new ram a lot.
This is a horrible clocking 950, vcore is pretty high.

                            Thank you.

This ram is a lot of fun to play with, they clock much better than I had expected. I havent tried them on the UD7 yet, when I get a chance Ill install that board and see how they do. Its really nice to get this kind of performance from a kit at such a reasonable price.

I agree, I have the 2000Mhz set though, but I do know what you mean for sure you can do all kinds of crazy stuff with them!! I think it's cause they're radioactive

I'll have a review up on those shortly

I havent used the UD7 in a couple months. Thought Id try the Mushkin ram in it and to see what it would do in 32m. Im on water and vcore is waaaay high, suprisingly the chip is still working after months of this kind of torture.
