998826 this. there is bugger cooler than on 998679 and may be some trouble with big fan in pc-case and i'am seeking the same good RAM module with similar radiator because 998679 in not avaible now.

They both are better in their own ways, so it's hard to say :(

I measured the Ridgebacks in the review, did you see my measurements?

there is big cooler on this kit. there may be some trouble with Scythe Ninja 3 on MB. Yes, i read it - as always awesome. but if you like one - you want find some with similar features: cooler, speed, stability etc. Now i'm upon the look some similar kit with low cooler like Mushkin Radioactive 998958 but I have not seen review on this kit...

I'm working on a 2000Mhz Radioactive review right now actually!

The kit you mentioned is the exact same as this review, except with the shorter Frostbyte/Radioactive heat spreader, so those would be great if you want Ridgeback's but don't have the room for the heat spreader.

                        Nice review!!

Was wondering if the radioactive 2x2gb 1600c6 kit were the same sticks as the 3x2gb kit? Can get 2-2x2gb kits for around 224.00 at newegg. I got 2-2x2gb kits of the Dominator 2000c8 8 8 24 for around the same price as a triple ch. kit and they have been great. I would like to try this kit from Mushkin.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the read!!

If you mean 2x2GB Radioactives and 3x2GB Radioactives, then yes those would be the same.

If you can wait a little bit I believe the 2x3GB kits should be in stock again at Newegg soon, maybe 2 weeks or less I think.

@Lsdmeasap, Thanks, have been waiting for them but still no stock at Newegg. They have a 3x2gb kit of Redline 1600@6-8-6-24 with the ridgeback heat spreader design for 169.00, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226175. Hope these are the same also, am thinking of ordering them. I didnt have good luck with Mushkin before but your reviews have convinced me to give them another try.

I know, they've been low on stock of several kits, even direct purchase too.

Yeap, those are the same as well and if you like the red Ridgeback then those would be perfect, if not wait a bit longer for the color you want or the 6GB Radioactive sets.

Previous issues with Mushkin? What happened before, and did I try to help with the issue?

Well, no real issues. I had bought a kit of the Redline ddr2 1000's a while back for my ud3p and they were very hard to get stable even at the rated speed. Overclocking was out of the question on this kit.
