Hi, I am looking for a new graphics card and have decided on this one, the question is now which one ?, the Gainward , abit siluro and the ledtek look good . Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards Greame:cheers:
Well I've had no probs with Leadtek products (probably as I can get them cheaper than the others) and they overclock very well. :smokin:

Do you mean GF3 Ti 500? :?:
I think the GF4 only comes in 4200, 4400, & 4600. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
My vote would also be for leadtek. PNY seems overpriced, at least at the retail shops in my area. Then again, who goes to retail shops for computer goodies?
I just got a Powercolor GF4Ti4200 64MB, it was about $15cdn more than what I've seen the Abit one advertised for, but my dealer only carries Powercolor and ASUS and I'm sales tax exempt with him :D - I won't have a chance to really give it a work out until the weekend
I'll let yout know whether it gets a :thumb: or a :thumbs do
edit: I got a nice surprise when I opened the box - it's actually a 128MB w/4ns RAM - hopefully it'll be a good OC'er. Pretty good deal for $260cdn (~$165US)
My PNY GeForce4 Ti 4200 overclocks great. Here is my 3DMark2001SE Score below. This was with a 296/666 o/c. My rig needs three extra fans (card fan under the 4200, bay fan & extra case fan to keep it cool enough.

It's a stock (almost) Dell Dimension 8200 with a P4 @ 1.994, 512 mb of PC800 Rambus, a 7200 rpm 40 gig hd, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card, 16x dvd, 40/10/40 cdrw, Logitech z340 speakers, firewire card, retail PNY GeForce4 Ti 4200 (64 mb), Windows XP home, extra case fan (80 cfm intake - location bottom side), card fan (40 cfm exhaust), bay fan (40 cfm exhaust), blowhole (20 cfm exhaust)
Tweaked with Tweak XP, coolbits & GU Tweak
AGP aperture set to 256 mb
All non essential services shut down in XP
Highest priority set on 3DMark2001SE when running
Tried many combinations of tweaks to find the right ones to use for my system. XP tweaks increased scores as much as overclocking the card and the driver tweaks.
I got good results from the 29.42, 29.80 and 30.30 drivers. I have never tried the 29.60's.
I haven't heard of a really poor GeForce4 Ti 4200 yet.
Buy Gainward, i did and it is great. I wanted the Ti but i ticked the wrong box and got the Mx460 with Ti in and out and serious sam and the the connectors, it is really good and the Ti is just as good. Just make sure you go for the VIVO version with DVi and VIVO so you can record video and support another monitor or DVi flatcsreen.
I love my card and is it not that expensive.
Also get the golden sample version, then you can overclock forever!
yea well i'm not sure aobut the US or UK....but in australia x-micro is now my favourite....very cheap...excellent overlocking...
