Well, as said, anything SE means they take the same core and just make a card out of worse-performing parts, i.e., slower RAM, underclocked GPU, etc. I would get a 9700 NP or Pro. I dont know what the price of the 9700SE is, but if those other two are too high, go with a 9600XT, I'd imagine it'd be faster. : peace2: Mista K6

Can you post some links to this card? And se doesnt always mean the same thing, there is one exception I know of. A ti4800se is a rename of a ti4400 after adding 8x agp. But yes with ati, se means crap.athlon xp-m@2456mhz(12x204)

The R9600SE's core also clocked slower with only a 64-bit memory interface and slower memory chips plus the same goes for the R9200SE.
The only thing I can't find is a product/retail link to a R9700SE though there are a few forum links (6 in all thru Google).
