Has anyone here bought a graphics card off ebay? because i've seen some pretty tempting deals and supossedly they have warranty's... just your thoughts on this because i don't have alot of cash like nil at the moment and this could get me a nice attractive card for cheap...
Here are some i found, both in Australian Dollars

    Just your thoughts/experiences on Ebay

    Cheers

I looked at the radeon 9800, are you sure its not a 9800 se? which is cheaper than a 9800. It looks like it.

I went to the PC markets last weekend while in Sydney and those R9800P's were sellin' for $600aus but with still 6 days to run I guess the bids will go up quite a bit in the last day or so. It would definately be a HUGE improvement over the old GeForce 2 MX400 (a GF4 Ti4200 will seem huge enough) but give it a go and see how ya go.

            I paid $290aus for the same R9600P while I was there ;)

yeah i guess we'll see... i've got about 50$ at the moment so i dunno... might b able to scab some of my folks and maybe get me hands on that 9600pro :D but if not then ill just have to wait... i've seen quite a few cards on Ebay so i don't think that they're in short supply... and i could always buy one firsthand for some outrageous price:p

speaking of working your ass off... does anyone have any information on part time work? because its the holidays over here and i could possibly get me some money but i don't really wanna work in like a fast food chain earning like 7$ an hour.... i no u have to start somewhere but DAMN!
any experiences in this? my friend works at a bakery and he gets 11 or 12 bucks an hour but thats coz he been working there for a year or something... i could just mow lawns for the rest of my teenage life :p

Also it was my bday yesterday so i think getting money shouldn't be 2 hard except we got a 2 megabit connection yesterday (pure coincidence but it was nice :D)

I just bought a Radeon 9800 PRO off eBay. The card is the best :thumb: haven't had a problem yet! And this baby can sure OC a fair bit. The packaging was sealed and was in very good condition. Came with warranty too.
