  • How do you overclock?

    I have a pentium 4 2.53ghz processor and i wonder whrere to start! Pointers anyone?

    Oh yeah, this computer is a brand new dell dimension 4550 with windows xp home, is there a way to acces the bios or does it have one is there a way to check?

    Any name brand PC is hard to overclock, as the Bios doesn't allow overclocking. Althought SoftFSB could yield some results, if you know your motherboard model

      I also have a non brand computer with an AMD K6 processor running at 330mhz, default system bios, 96mb ram, at 2.2v. Any tips for overclocking this?

          I wouldn't even bother with that setup...no matter how far you take it, its still going to be slow by today's standards.

          However if you want to know, its done through the use of dipswitches on the board itself...

            iirc, its an intel 845 PE...not really sure though...can check monday at work...too sleepy to check google :P
