I just moved back from Cali and my dad gave me a box full of PC stuff I had left behind, including a heatsink he had picked up somewhere along the line. Odd thing is, I can't seem to find out much about it; I checked CoolerMaster's page and I searched the interwebs but no luck so far. I almost wonder if it's a knockoff brand. Here's the deal: I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with a Q6600 and stock heatsink, the CoolerMaster is model S2N-73ELS-P2-GP. It "says" it's compatible with an Intel Dual core LGA775, but I didn't know if I could fudge it with a quad core and it would still work. Any ideas?

Re: CoolerMaster/CPU Compatiblity
I would just call Coolmaster. It is the easiest solution. Depending if you father was a hard core overclocker, I would never trust stuff my father handed down to me :PGigabyte GA-EX58 Extreme (bios revision beta F6B) / I7 920 @ 3.8GHz 1.3V (190 x 20)
Corsair Dominator 1600MHz 3X2GB 8-8-8-24 @ 1.64v (running at 1520MHz with 8 multi)
EVGA GTX 285 x 2 SLI
Samsung Syncmaster 275T LCD
Enermax Galaxy DXX 1000W Modular PSU
ASUS Xonar DX2 w/Onkyo TX-SR706 / Kef 7.1
Sennheiser HD595
2 x 300GB Velocoraptors in RAID 0
Coolermaster V8 CPU Cooler
Coolermaster H.A.F.932 / Vista 64 Ultimate SP1
