  • I can't OC my 2500K/Z77X-UD3H at all - nothing helps

    I have to admit - I'm exhausted, it lasts long time, probably I'll never buy another Gigabyte's motherboard (I've been their customer until now) - so to the point.

    2500K at 4,1 - 4,2 GHz on Orthos/Aida64 works smooth, no bsods, overheat, etc. Problem begins after shutting down my pc, not always, but roughly after third pushing wake up/power on button everything goes to hell. Power cycling begins, with loop, or without, pc can't reach bios firstly, then it shows white mobo screen, next dual-bios screen, after that bios and "Load defaults" info.

    I've tried virtually all bioses, same in recovery, or different. Nothing helps. It isn't about voltages, or frequencies. I've tried OC it only to 3,4! GHz - always same story. On default settings everything works absolutely fine. Where is the issue? MOBO? CPU? Running 2500K at stock settings is a blasphemy:/

    regards,
    Michael

      Re: I can't OC my 2500K/Z77X-UD3H at all - nothing helps

      I'm wondering if any of your voltage setting are set to auto. granted you have a 530w psu, that should be enough for what you have, but that model is a dual rail and 20A of the 12 V is dedicated to the PCIe power so that only leaves you 28A for everything else.

      if the voltage settings are set to auto on anything it might spike that one rail and suddenly power down the system.

      Would you have a bigger psu? I only think this because you noted it doesn't happen a stock settings.

      Just my opinion, but if you're OC'ing the CPU and the GPU then I would had gone with a 650W-750W PSU (i prefer single rails because I don't like the separation config). but regardless it's one of those better looking at it then looking for it scenario's. then you a have a little room when the PSU starts to degrade after a year or two. but that's just my thoughts on your issue.

        @wazza300
        Tried yesterday with vtt - today - reset.
        @vinster
        I'll try x32/x34. I feel that my bios doesn't like any changes.

              idk why its stuck at 38x,it shouldn't be

              tried setting all turbo ratios to 45x ect or whatever clockspeed you want

                At 4,5 mobo gives crazy voltages, like 1.5V+ Currently OC by turbo doesn't work at all..don't know why, only boosting basic multiplayer works. Well..works..it's not exactly correct:/
