Hi,
I've been having boot loop problems since I bought my Haswell system with the Gigabyte Z87x-OC.
Gigabyte advised me that it may be a PSU problem as I had a Corsair 860 PSU which had known problems and kindly offered to 'fix' the board. As I was too impatient and did not fancy removing motherboard and then waiting and then another reinstall - I purchased a Seasonic 760W PSU. And the same problems.
After some more hair pulling I decided to replace the RAM (Corsair CMY16GX3M2A1866C9B) with a pair of 2GB sticks from my old i7 system (TR3X6G1333C9). My system has booted up every time without the boot loop.
I was hoping if someone could help me with a diagnosis.
Is it.
Bad RAM?
Motherboard having problems with newer RAM (XMP etc. Have tried switching this off but the same problem)
PS.
Please note I did use this RAM when I had my old PSU and the problem still existed.
Thanks
