EP35-DS3L wont work

Well had to get an adapter for the CPU power ...8 pin down to 4 pin but when I plug that in it just starts then reboots and goes into that cycle

If I dont plug it in it fires up and lights come on the mobo but nothing appears on the monitor

Maybe time to throw it into the bin but I will give it one last twirl

btw: no beeps....i dont think the aduio gadget/switch is any good

What power supply are you using, can you list out the HW and Bios revision if you can.
