  • Strange noise at cold boot

When the computer has been powered off for 30 seconds or longer, when I turn on the computer it makes a loud buzz/screech for less than a second.
Is this normal, should I be concerned?
Seems to be working ok atm.

I've had that happen before when testing a new BETA BIOS. Something sounds like it's getting too much voltage during that short time. You may try entering your BIOS, selecting Optimized Defaults, save and exit, and see if that does anything to help.

It was my cpu fan alarm. I guess the pump doesn't get up to speed under a second so it alerts me it low.

      Good to know.
