    Assassin 2 x79 advice please

    I was going to install win 7, i am looking for a list of the latest drivers that i need.

    as far as nic and sound i know what to install, bit fuzzy on the rest.

    Windows drivers are really good for the most part, only big item I would make sure I install are updated chipset drivers and then any SSD optimization tools

      I need to install the chipset drivers yes and intel RSTe but what version the the latest that works with a x79

      also MEI need updating or driver ?

        My advice would be to not go with the RSTe go with RST / IRST 12.7 Drivers instead on a clean install.
        If you have flashed Virtualfreds Latest Bios 12s mod you will have the option in the bios to use either RSTe or IRST.
        IRST WILL Allow Trim to be activated / used if you use Raid 0 Configurations with SSDs.
