    Z87X-OC Force stuttering

    • Disabling onboard audio
    • Disabling Marvell SATA controller
    • Disabling C1E, EIST, all the power saving features
    • Trying different RAM


    I'm currently on BIOS F7 (latest). Haven't tried an older one yet.

    did you carry any parts over from the sniper board? psu/memory/drives ect? could be one of those that's the cause

      You might get some useful information by running Resplendence Software - LatencyMon: suitability checker for real-time audio and other tasks freeware. Click on the Download link at the top of the page to download the free version.

        The only thing I can think of is my mouse/keyboard. So I went ahead and tried a PS/2 keyboard and a wireless mouse, same issue.

        Thanks. I think I'm just going to RMA the board because it's underperforming in benchmarks. My ASRock Z87 Extreme6 and ECS Z87H3-A2X EXTREME score better at stock which is weird for a board that costs twice as much.

          If you RMA and they test it as "OK" they ship it back with no notice of what was carried out on their end. you just get the same board back and waste the cost of shipping.

          what are your CPU temperatures like? and can the high latencies be tied with CPU Usage from the Task manager? What is your page file setting set too?
