My mouth is watering for one but I can`t find anything in manufacture specs that tells me this board has capability of swapping hard-drives while the PC is running. Thanks Guys.
A lot of that doesn't have anything to do with the MB but it's bios configuration and the case you have.
I had an GA-X58A-UD5 and now have a EVGA Classified3... MB specs don't mention anything about Hot-Swapable... but if you configure the SATA ports to AHCI or RAID (Non-Member disks) and your case has "Hot-Swap" bays then you are set.
IDE doesn't support losing the disk or re-introducing it while windows is running, but with AHCI and pending on your RAID configuration it surely is possible.
If I slide a drive in my Hot-swap bay it comes up as a removable device, no different than a memory stick.

since you have it set to IDE and have Windows 7 (I hope), you can't just change your SATA type from IDE to AHCI or RAID on the fly. you either have to re-install Windows after changing it or perform this Bios tweak to make it work.
Here is a link that'll help. now if it doesn't work, setting your SATA back to IDE will get you back in to windows without an issue.

Wow Vinster, I really appreciate your help here. I guess I should have Googled huh? Didn`t even think about anyone else being curious about this. Okay then, I will read up on this and hopefully AHCI will work for me. Again Thanks, You have been very kind.
